Karin's Zinfandel Barbecue Sauce

Makes 3 cups
Ingredients:
1 Cup Salisbury Vineyards Zinfandel wine
1/4 Cup packed dark-brown sugar
1/4 Cup unfiltered apple juice
2 Tablespoons apple-cider vinegar
1 1/2 Cups marinara sauce (homemade's the best!)
1/2 Cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/2 Cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 Cup tomato paste
2 Tablespoons molasses
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon honey
1/4 cup chipotle chilies mashed (canned works best)
1 1/2 - 2 Teaspoons chili powder
1/2 Teaspoon coarse kosher salt
In a medium saucepan, combine wine, brown sugar, apple juice, and vinegar. Bring to a boil, and cook until reduced by two-thirds. Add marinara sauce, orange juice, tomato paste, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, honey, chipotles, chili powder, and salt. Bring to a simmer, and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally for 20-30 minutes.
