Of the nearly 200 wineries in San Luis Obispo County, many offer tasting rooms allowing you the chance to experience our award-winning local wines – from rich Chardonnays to jammy Zinfandels and from sumptuous Pinot Noirs to elegant Cabernet Sauvignons – San Luis Obispo County wineries have it all. SLO County is also a leader in producing Rhone varietals, including the increasing popular Viognier.
The Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo / Edna Valley wine regions hold several popular Wine Festivals thru the year. These include the Zinfandel Festival in March; Hospice du Rhone, Roll Out the Barrels, the Paso Robles Wine Festival in May, Central Coast Wine Classic in Summer, and the two fall harvest celebrations in October/November.
SLO County also offers many wonderful Food Festivals from April–October every year; most naturally pair the gourmet foods with SLO County wines.
