Piedras Blancas Lighthouse Tours

Every Tuesday & Thursday morning, enjoy a special tour of the historic Piedras Blancas Lighthouse. Meet at the former Piedras Blancas Motel, about 1 mile north of the Lighthouse on Highway 1. You will be met there and escorted to the lighthouse in your car. No tours on Federal Holidays. No pets allowed. Do NOT wait at entrance to Lighthouse. Groups of 10 or more need to make specail arrangements.

Play: Jesus Christ Superstar - SLO

Special Early Curtain
Jesus Christ Superstar, the first masterpiece from the legendary writing team of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, exploded onto the scene in 1971 changing the world of musical theatre forever. With a score of amazing songs, like “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” “Hosanna,” “Everything’s Alright,” “What’s the Buzz,” “Superstar,” and “Heaven on Their Minds,” this original ground-breaking production starring Ted Neeley – who starred in the film version – in the title role and Living Colour’s Corey Glover as Judas, is as relevant and timeless as ever. Go Ballooning - Paso Robles

Watch Elephant Seals - Peak Season

Watch Harbor Seals - Avila Beach

Every day, be amused while looking down at the harbor seals that use the lower level of Harford Pier as their favorite "hang-out". Watch as they live their life - barking, sleeping, arguing and fishing. Note: do NOT get too close, and do not feed them. Great educational fun for kids and adults! These are different than the elephant seals that "hang out" on the north coast of SLO County.

Whale Watching

Watch they gray whales as the migrate past the county. You can stand on the coast, or take one of several whale-watching boat tours. (Check the "Great Outdoors" section on the toolbar.) Humpback whales follow in April - July.
